Managing Bookings

Open Bookup → Bookings to review booking records. Each booking brings together the customer, offering, chosen session(s), option(s), submitted booking data, total, payment status, and booking status.

Booking Records

Use the bookings list to locate a record, then open it to review the complete booking data. The detail screen can show the selected offering, sessions, participants, submitted fields, payment details, and current status.

Common operational actions include updating booking status, reviewing payment state, rescheduling when the workflow permits it, and handling customer cancellation requests.

Booking and Payment Statuses

Booking status describes the reservation lifecycle; payment status describes whether money is due, paid, failed, or refunded. Keep the two states aligned with your actual operational process—especially for manual/on-site payment and wire transfer.

• Free bookings can complete without a paid gateway.
• On-site and wire transfer payments create offline payment workflows. Collect and reconcile payment outside Bookup.
• Online gateways and WooCommerce Cart can update payment information as the checkout process completes.

Rescheduling and Cancellation

Bookup includes administrator rescheduling and customer-portal cancellation workflows. The available actions depend on the booking’s status, the offering/session availability, and configured cancellation policy.

Before rescheduling a customer, confirm that the new session has capacity and that any required resource remains available. Bookup’s availability rules protect against conflicts, but checking the final booking details avoids surprises.
