Resources and Availability
Resources model availability that is shared or constrained outside an offering’s own schedule. Use them for people, rooms, seats, tables, vehicles, equipment, or other reservable capacity.
Create a Resource
Section titled “Create a Resource”- Go to Bookup → Resources → Add Resource.
- Enter a name and optional description.
- Choose the resource type and capacity.
- Select its timezone and set it active.
- Optionally attach an image or WordPress user when the resource represents a person.
- Define weekly availability.
- Add exceptions for dates that differ from the weekly pattern.
- Save the resource.
Weekly Availability
Section titled “Weekly Availability”Add the start and end time for each working day. Leave both fields empty for a day off. Availability windows determine when Bookup may allocate the resource to an eligible offering session.
Exceptions
Section titled “Exceptions”Use exceptions for holidays, time off, temporary closures, special hours, or a temporary capacity change. Exception records contain a start/end date-time, type, optional reason, capacity, and active state.
Global and Offering-Owned Resources
Section titled “Global and Offering-Owned Resources”Global resources can be used across offerings. Bookup Pro Pro can also support offering-owned resources, which are scoped to a specific offering and managed through its resource workflow.
