Bookup uses booking options to define what customers select. Event offerings normally use tickets; appointment offerings normally use services. Both represent selectable options with their own name, price, and availability/count.
Add a Booking Option
Section titled “Add a Booking Option”- Open the offering editor and select the Booking section.
- Open the ticket or service tab for the offering type.
- Add an option with a clear name.
- Set the price. Use
0for a free option. - Set the available count/capacity according to the workflow.
- Save or update the offering.
Booking Behavior
Section titled “Booking Behavior”The booking section can include offering-specific behavior such as confirmation settings, booking availability, and forms. When a setting is configured to inherit, Bookup uses the matching global booking configuration.
Use the Forms tab when you need fields beyond the customer’s basic booking details. Bookup supports distinct booking fields and participant fields, allowing group bookings to collect information for each registrant where the offering requires it.
Appointment Services and Resources
Section titled “Appointment Services and Resources”Appointment-style services can add scheduling rules in their advanced settings:
- Assignment: Ignore resources, automatically assign an available resource, or let the customer choose a resource.
- Eligible resources: Limit a service to particular staff, rooms, or equipment. If none are selected, Bookup can use any active resource in scope.
- Capacity rule: Decide whether availability follows service count, resource capacity, or both.
- Buffers: Reserve preparation or cleanup time before and after the service.
