Customer Portal and Cancellations

Bookup Free includes a customer portal workflow for customer booking access and cancellation. It is different from Bookup Pro’s Pro frontend management dashboard.

What Customers Can Do

Eligible customers can use the portal to locate their bookings, review booking details, and submit a cancellation when the configured policy allows it. Bookup’s customer access workflow can use verification to make the portal appropriate for visitors who are not logged into WordPress.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation availability depends on the configured cancellation policy, the booking state, and the session timing. Review the policy before opening bookings to customers and test the public experience with a real sample booking.

Recommended Setup

1. Enable the customer portal module in Bookup → Settings → Modules when needed.
2. Create or use the customer portal page provided by the workflow.
3. Configure cancellation policy and customer-access preferences.
4. Add the portal page to your site navigation or booking confirmation content.
5. Complete a test booking and verify the customer can access the expected record.

Make your cancellation policy visible in your booking confirmation message and on the offering page. Customers are less likely to need support when the deadline and outcome are clear before payment.
