Use Native Recurring Payments for Listdom Memberships

Current Listdom recurring memberships use Listdom’s native payment-plan and recurring-payment system. WooCommerce subscription products and YITH subscription products are not used for current Listdom recurring memberships.

Only the Listdom integration with WooCommerce subscription products was removed. Standard WooCommerce products still work for supported one-time package checkout. Use this page if you found an older WooCommerce Subscriptions link or need to decide how to configure recurring membership billing.

Use the Listdom payment engine when a membership package should renew automatically.

  1. Go to Listdom > Settings > Payments and select Listdom as the payment engine.
  2. Configure a recurring-capable gateway, such as Stripe recurring payments when available on the site.
  3. Go to Listdom > Payments > Plans.
  4. Create a plan with a recurring tier.
  5. Set the tier billing frequency and Expiry Duration (Days).
  6. Go to Listdom > Memberships > Packages.
  7. Connect the package to the Listdom payment plan.
  8. Test purchase, renewal, cancellation, and expiration from a new user account.

For full package configuration, see Listdom Membership Addon Documentation.

Use standard WooCommerce products for supported one-time Listdom membership purchases when your site uses WooCommerce checkout.

Do not select a WooCommerce subscription product for a recurring Listdom membership. Unsupported products can show a general unavailable message on the frontend, and the administration interface can warn that the product is not compatible with Listdom recurring memberships.

Listdom can resolve membership expiry from the selected Duration Mode:

  • In Legacy Mode, the package duration determines membership expiry.
  • In Modern Mode, Listdom uses the Listdom payment-plan tier’s Expiry Duration (Days) first, then a supported WooCommerce product duration for one-time purchases, then the package duration as a fallback.

Billing frequency and expiry duration are separate values. Billing frequency controls when payments recur. Expiry duration controls the active membership period granted by the tier.

Confirm that the package is connected to a Listdom payment plan with a recurring tier and that a recurring-capable gateway is configured.

Use a Listdom recurring payment plan instead. WooCommerce subscription products are not the supported recurring membership path.

Membership expiry is different from expected

Check Listdom > Settings > Add-ons > Memberships for Duration Mode, then review the selected payment-plan tier’s Expiry Duration (Days) and the package duration.
