Schedules and Sessions

The Schedule tab controls when an offering can be booked. It supports manually added sessions and recurrence-based session generation.
One-Time or Irregular Dates
Section titled “One-Time or Irregular Dates”Choose Custom Date and Times when the offering has a small number of dates or does not follow a reliable pattern.
- Open the offering’s Schedule tab.
- Select Custom Date and Times as the repeat type.
- Enter a start and end date/time.
- Select Add.
- Repeat for each additional session.
- Save or update the offering.
The selected sessions appear in the session list. Remove a session there when it should no longer be offered.
Recurring Dates
Section titled “Recurring Dates”Choose a repeat type such as Minutely, Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly when Bookup should generate a series of possible sessions.
Configure these fields:
- Start and Duration: The first session start and its days, hours, and minutes duration.
- Repeat Interval: How frequently the recurrence runs. For example, an interval of
2repeats every two matching units. - Finish Method: Stop after a number of repeats or on a specified date/time.
- Minutes, Hours, Month Days, Week Days, Months, and Nth Instance: Narrow the recurrence when a repeat type needs more specific rules.
- Timezone: Use the global timezone or choose an offering-specific timezone from Advanced Options.
The preview lists the sessions Bookup will generate from the current configuration.
Planning Tips
Section titled “Planning Tips”- Use Custom Date and Times for exceptions, single events, or irregular sessions.
- Use Weekly for regular classes or opening-hour patterns.
- Use Monthly or Yearly with the optional selectors for patterns such as “the first Monday of every month.”
- Add a realistic duration; it affects availability, resource conflict checking, and public booking information.
