Install and Activate Bookup

Requirements

WordPress administrator access.
PHP 7.4 or newer.
Bookup Free for all installations.
Bookup Pro Pro only when you need Pro modules.
WooCommerce only when you use the WooCommerce Cart payment method.

Install Bookup Free

In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
Choose the bookup.zip installation file and select Install Now.
Activate Bookup after installation.
Open Bookup → Settings → General and review date, time, currency, and data-retention preferences.
Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes once if public offering URLs return a 404 error.

You can also upload the extracted bookup folder to /wp-content/plugins/ by FTP, then activate it from Plugins → Installed Plugins.

Install Bookup Pro Pro

Bookup Pro is an extension of Bookup Free, not a replacement.

Confirm that Bookup Free is installed and active.
Upload and activate bookup-pro.zip from Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
Open Bookup → Settings → License.
Enter or refresh the Bookup Pro Pro license.
Open Bookup → Settings → Modules and enable the Pro modules required by the site.

Enable the Modules You Need

Bookup uses modules to keep the administration area focused. Visit Bookup → Settings → Modules, choose the relevant category, and enable the workflows needed for the site. Module availability depends on the installed package and license state.

Common modules include resources, coupons, notifications, payments, customer portal, display views, presenters, sponsors, agenda, and advanced booking operations.

Data Retention on Uninstall

Bookup preserves business data by default when it is uninstalled. This keeps Bookup bookings, resources, sessions, options, and related records available for a later reinstall.

To permanently delete Bookup-owned data on uninstall, explicitly enable Delete data on uninstall under Bookup → Settings → General → Uninstall Data Retention.
