The General settings menu in Listdom provides various global configuration options for listings and site behavior. This includes date and time formats, currency display, map provider settings, social network integrations, archive page templates, URL slugs, Google reCAPTCHA, and third-party integrations.

  • Date Picker Format: Select the format for date pickers across Listdom. Options include YYYY-MM-DD (default), DD-MM-YYYY, YYYY/MM/DD, DD/MM/YYYY, YYYY.MM.DD, and DD.MM.YYYY.

  • Time Picker Format: Choose the time format for time pickers. Options are 24 Hours (default) or 12 Hours (AM/PM).

  • Currency Position: Define where the currency symbol appears relative to prices. Options are Before ($100) (default), Before With Space ($ 100), After (100$), or After With Space (100 $).

  • Default Currency: Set the default currency code used for pricing in listings (e.g., USD, EUR). (Default: USD)

  • Listing Custom Link: Toggle to enable (On, default) or disable (Off) the Custom Link field on listing submissions, which allows owners to provide an external URL.

  • Include Featured Image in Gallery: Choose whether the featured image of a listing should also appear in its image gallery. (Default: Always include)

  • Address Placeholder: Customize the placeholder text that appears in address input fields. (Default: “123 Main St, Unit X, City, State, Zipcode”)

  • No Listing Message: Define the message shown when a search or archive yields no results. You can include text, HTML, or shortcodes. (Default: empty, which shows “No Listing Found!”)

This section controls the integrated map features for listings.

  • Default Map Provider: Select the mapping service. Options include OpenStreetMap (Leaflet) (default) or Google Maps. OpenStreetMap works out-of-the-box, while Google Maps requires an API key.

  • Google Maps API Key: Enter your Google Maps JavaScript API key here (visible only when Google Maps is selected). This is required for Google Maps to function.

  • Mapbox Access Token: To use high-quality Mapbox tiles with OpenStreetMap, enter your access token here. If left blank, default OSM tiles are used.

  • Default Zoom Level: Set the initial zoom level for maps in the backend Add Listing editor. (Default: 6)

  • GPS Zoom Level: Adjusts how the map zooms when using the “Locate via GPS” feature. It consists of a threshold and a target zoom level to ensure a closer view of the user’s location.

  • Default Latitude & Longitude: Specify default coordinates for the center of maps in the backend to make pinning locations quicker.

  • Shape Display Options: Customize the appearance of drawn shapes (polygons or circles) on maps, including Fill Color, Fill Opacity, Border Color, Border Opacity, and Border Weight.

  • Geo-point (Address Geocoding): Provide a Google Geocoding API Key to improve address-to-coordinate conversion accuracy. By default, Listdom uses OpenStreetMap’s service.

This section lets you toggle various parts of the pricing feature on or off.

  • Currency: Show or hide the currency selection field. (Default: Enabled)
  • Price Max: Enable a “max price” field for price ranges. (Default: Enabled)
