Why is the Add Listing form opened without login request?

Sometimes users notice that when they visit their website without being logged in, they can still click the Add Listing button in the menu and get redirected directly to the listing submission page. This behavior may seem confusing because the expected flow is that users should either log in or register before they can add a listing.

The reason this happens is that Guest Submission is enabled in your Listdom settings. When guest submission is turned on, visitors who are not logged in are allowed to submit listings. This is an optional feature designed for directories that want to accept public submissions without requiring user accounts.

If you want to enforce login or registration before allowing users to submit listings, you need to disable guest posting.

To resolve this issue, you should disable guest submission and require all users to sign in before they can access the Add Listing form. This ensures that only registered users can add new listings through the frontend dashboard.

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Listdom → Settings → Frontend Dashboard.
  3. Find the option for Guest Submission.
  4. Turn off (disable) this option.
  5. Save your settings.

Once guest submission is disabled, visitors who click the Add Listing button while not logged in will be redirected to the login or registration page instead of being taken straight to the listing form.
