Listdom Labelize Addon Documentation

The Labelize Addon allows you to monetize listing labels (e.g., “Featured”, “Verified”) by integrating with WooCommerce. You can attach a price to these labels and let listing owners purchase them for their listings.

If you prefer Listdom’s native checkout, configure the Listdom Payments documentation and Listdom Payments Settings documentation. After enabling the internal gateways, label purchases can flow through Listdom’s Orders area without needing WooCommerce, while still honoring the labels’ pricing rules.

Go to Listdom > Settings > Addons > Labelize:

  • Auto Order Complete: Toggle whether WooCommerce orders for label purchases should be automatically marked as “Completed.” (Default: Yes)
  1. Create Listing Labels: In Listdom > Listings > Labels, add the labels you plan to sell (e.g., “Featured”, “Highlighted”).
  2. Create WooCommerce Products: For each label you want to sell, create a corresponding WooCommerce product and set a price. If you’re replacing WooCommerce with Listdom Payments, set up one plan in the Listdom Payments instead.
  3. Verify Auto Complete Setting: Ensure “Auto Order Complete” is enabled if you want orders to complete instantly.
  4. Assign Products to Labels: Go back to Listdom > Listings > Labels, edit a label, and use the new field to assign its corresponding WooCommerce product. When using Listdom Payments, select one plan in the Labelize addon settings so the native checkout knows which prices to charge for each purchasable label.

Once set up, listing owners can purchase and manage labels for their listings via the frontend dashboard.

  • In the Labels section of the frontend listing form, users see purchasable labels with prices.
  • They can select paid labels and click Add to Cart.
  • They are then directed to checkout (WooCommerce or Listdom Payments, based on your setup).
  • If Auto Order Complete is enabled, purchased labels are assigned to the listing as soon as payment succeeds.
  • Labels without a linked plan/product are free-select labels: if a label has no assigned WooCommerce product (or no paid plan in Listdom payment setup), it appears as a normal selectable label on the frontend.
  • Frontend users can manage labels already attached in WP Admin: if an admin manually added paid labels in the WordPress Add/Edit Listing page, listing owners can still see and manage/remove those labels from the frontend listing form.
  • No automatic expiration: purchased labels stay assigned until manually removed.

Featured Listing Upsell

A real estate directory sells a “Featured” label for $20. An agent purchases it for their property, and after payment, the listing automatically gets a bright “Featured” ribbon on its thumbnail, increasing its visibility.

Verified Badge via Purchase

A services marketplace monetizes its “Verified” badge by charging $5. Service providers pay the fee through their dashboard. Once the order completes, the addon attaches the “Verified” label, which appears as a checkmark icon on their profile.
