Listdom Bridge Addon Documentation

Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.

The Bridge Addon allows you to migrate (import) listings from other directory and listing plugins into Listdom. This addon adds a “Third Party Plugins” import tool, enabling you to bring existing listings from supported external plugins into the Listdom database.

The Bridge Addon currently supports migrating from several popular plugins:

  • WP Go Maps
  • GeoDirectory
  • HivePress
  • Business Directory Plugin
  • Classified Listing
  • Directorist
  1. In your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Listdom > Import/Export. Click on the Third Party Plugins tab.
  2. From the Plugin dropdown, select the source plugin from which you want to import listings.
  3. Optionally, select a Category from the dropdown to assign all imported listings to a specific Listdom category. If you leave this as “Detect Automatically,” the tool will attempt to map categories from the source plugin.
  4. Click the Import button. A progress message will appear as the import runs in batches.
  5. Wait for the import to complete. When finished, you will see a success message.

After running an import, the migrated listings will appear in Listdom > Listings. The addon will attempt to import titles, descriptions, images, location data, contact information, and taxonomies.

The Bridge Addon does not have a separate settings page. Its functionality is accessed entirely via the Listdom > Import/Export menu.

Migrating from GeoDirectory

A local business directory using GeoDirectory can be moved to Listdom with minimal effort. Install the Bridge Addon, select GeoDirectory in the import tool, and click Import. All places from GeoDirectory will be imported as Listdom listings.

Consolidating Multiple Sources

If you have listings in both Business Directory Plugin and HivePress, you can import from one plugin at a time. First, import from Business Directory Plugin, then switch the dropdown to HivePress and import again to consolidate all listings into Listdom.

Assigning a Common Category

When importing classified ads, you can create a category like “Imported Ads” in Listdom first. Then, select that category in the dropdown before running the import. All incoming listings will be placed in that category for easy management.
